East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s detectives are looking for two men who were caught on a surveillance camera trying, but failing, to steal phones from an AT&T store on Wax Road.

Video taken at the store on Jan. 17 showed two men using crow bars to pry open the front door at around 6:45 a.m. and then head to a back closet where the store’s phones were stored.

However, the men left without any merchandise because the phones were locked inside a metal cage, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The men left the store, 14409 Wax Road, in what appeared to be a silver or tan mini-van.

The first man is described as a Hispanic or white man with short, dark hair and mustache, wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt, blue hat, light-colored jeans and black gloves.

The second man is described as a Hispanic or white man with short, dark hair and mustache, wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt, tan hat with a blue bill, light colored blue jeans and blue gloves.
