Two men have died from their injuries after a shooting following a fight within a Baton Rouge bar, police said.
The two men, identified as 25-year-old Kenneth Franklin of Zachary, and 22-year-old Larry Williams of Baton Rouge, were transported to an area hospital after they were shot just after midnight outside End Zone Daiquiri Bar at 6224 Plank Road.
The shooting occurred after the two were involved in an altercation with at least one other person inside the bar, according to police. After they were asked to leave, the altercation apparently continued in the parking lot, which led to the shooting.
Police have not identified anyone else involved in the altercation, or whether anyone involved in it fired the shots.
The fatal shootings marked the 102nd and 103rd homicides in Baton Rouge this year and also marked the third and fourth of the day. It was the second shooting on Plank Road within a matter of hours on Friday, as another man was killed in the 3200 block earlier in the day.
There was no indication any of the shooting incidents were connected.
