Police booked three men Saturday who are accused of shooting at a group people in a vehicle across the street from Scotlandville Elementary School early Saturday morning.
Feliz A. Wyre, Jonathan J. Hamilton and David D. Briggs drove up in a black Dodge truck to a home at 2360 72nd Avenue at 2:43 a.m., a police report states, and two of them got out of the truck and into an argument with four people.
Afterwards, Wyre, 22, Hamilton, 21, and Briggs, 24, drove off, shooting three bullets at the four others who were then inside a vehicle at the address on 72nd Avenue, according to police.
The victims identified Wyre, Hamilton and Briggs for police, and detectives found three spent .40-caliber shell casings at the scene.
Wyre, 2569 74th Ave., Hamilton, 2524 75th Ave., and Briggs, 2566 74th Ave., were booked in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison Saturday morning each on four counts of attempted first-degree murder.
