A man accused of robbing a T.J. Ribs employee Monday morning was arrested within an hour after a witness remembered the license plate to the robber’s getaway car, according to a news release.
The employee was robbed at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of the restaurant, 6330 Siegen Lane, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office release said.
A witness remembered the license plate of the robber’s car, and detectives went to the registered address at 2945 Monroe Ave., the release said.
Authorities found Calvin Steward, 24, with the stolen money and gun used in the robbery, the release said.
Steward was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of armed robbery and possession of an illegal firearm.
