A Denham Springs man was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in federal prison for creating, distributing and possessing child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney Brandon Fremin.

In addition to the prison sentence, Michael Stanley Clark, 32, was ordered by the court to make $9,000 restitution payments to his victims, pay a $500 special assessment, serve 10 years of supervised release and register as a sex offender, Fremin said in a news release.

There were two separate undercover investigations into Clark, one by the FBI and the other by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Fremin said Clark distributed pornographic images of minors to undercover investigators from both agencies in October of 2016 just before they searched his home that month.

Clark confessed to sharing images of child pornography to people he met online, Fremin said.

Investigators said they discovered Clark in possession of 298 pictures and 333 videos of child pornography.
