Deputies on Thursday arrested a 25-year-old woman accused of being part of a group of people who robbed at gunpoint six men at a Baton Rouge residence.

The victims told East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies a woman greeted one of them on their porch around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at 5734 Kleinpeter Road while the rest were sleeping inside, the Sheriff’s Office report says.

The woman then left, returning minutes later with another woman and several men, all armed.

They walked into the residence without knocking, and the women told the men with them to take the victims’ wallets, money and cell phones, the warrant says. The women were believed to be armed with revolvers and the men with assault-style weapons, and they left shortly after stealing the items, the report says.

An arrest warrant for Melissa Jasmine Taylor, 2938 Winnebago St., was issued Sept. 30, and she was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison 9 a.m. Thursday on a count of armed robbery, home invasion and aggravated battery.
