One person accused of robbing a Raising Cane’s restaurant on Government Street on Friday has turned himself in to authorities, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
Brandon Anthony Daggs, 21, 424 Butler St., New Orleans, will be booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one count of armed robbery, Cpl. Tommy Stubbs said.
Police are still looking for another man, Terrance Ardell Jones, 19, 137 Julia Drive, Avondale, accused in the robbery, Stubbs said.
The two men, one armed with a handgun, entered Raising Cane’s at 5020 Government St., at about 11:20 a.m. Friday, grabbed money from the cash registers and fled in a gold Dodge Neon, police have said.
Police arrested Shakeria Clay, 19, on Friday, who is accused of leaving the restaurant’s door open so the two men could rob it, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Stubbs has confirmed that Clay is an employee of the restaurant.
Anyone with information on this robbery or Jones’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Baton Rouge Police Armed Robbery Division at (225) 389-3845 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP.
