The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men and is looking for two other men believed to have taken part in an April 25 mid-afternoon drive-by shooting along Jones Creek Road next to a shopping center, a shooting that luckily left no one injured.

Michael H. West, 53, 922 Celeste St., Baton Rouge, was booked in Parish Prison on April 30 and Deandre Krashon Nixon, 21, 466 E. Buchanan St., Baton Rouge, was booked Tuesday. They each face multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated damage to property, as well as counts of illegal use of a weapon. Nixon also faces a count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Casey Rayburn Hicks, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office, said deputies are still looking for Christopher Jamal Bennett, 22, 4523 Evangeline St., Baton Rouge, and Dalvis Joshua Nixon, 4244 Hollywood St., Baton Rouge. Both are facing multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder, principal to assault by drive-by-shooting and principal to aggravated damage to property.

Deandre Nixon and Dalvis Nixon are brothers, Hicks said.

West was at Firestone Auto Care, 6610 Jones Creek, when Bennett and both Nixons drove by, prompting an exchange of gunfire, Hicks said.
