Two grocery store employees were arrested Thursday after Baton Rouge police found multiple packets of synthetic marijuana in their stores, according to a Police Department news release.
Police found 839 packets of synthetic marijuana during a search of Ann’s Grocery, 2004 Plank Road, the release says.
Paul Dao, 33, 2202 Aubin Lane, was booked into Parish Prison on one count of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I synthetic cannabinoid.
Police also searched Amy’s Grocery at 3918 Sherwood St., where 57 packages of synthetic marijuana were found, the release says. Son Tran, 40, 6654 Antioch Crossing, was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I synthetic cannabinoid, possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies.
