Baton Rouge police have arrested a 21-year-old man who is accused of attempted murder and robbery in an attack at a Packard Street home in January.
Brandon Taylor broke into the home with two others on Jan. 11, when one of them kicked open the front door just as one of the victims unlocked it from inside, according to a police report. An unknown assailant then fired at the victim right behind the door, which caused a bullet to graze the victim’s forehead, the report says.
The three assailants stole items and fled, but the victims recognized Taylor and another assailant, the report says. One of the victims identified one of the assailants as his stepson, according to the report.
Taylor, of 7074 Cambridge St., was booked into Parish Prison on counts of armed robbery and attempted first-degree murder.
