Aurtrell Bivens, 21.

A man wanted in a Feb. 23 shooting surrendered to authorities Friday.

Aurtrell Dewayne Bivens, 21, is accused of firing multiple shots at two people around 11:30 p.m. at 2308 Huron St., said Baton Rouge Police Cpl. L’Jean McKneely.

Bivens was one of two people who pulled up in a vehicle on Huron St. and began firing, according to a police report.

The people being shot at were standing outside the residence at the time of the incident, which started because of an argument, McKneely said.

One person was struck in the arm and was treated at a hospital for injuries, McKneely said.

Bivens, of 2525 Lula St., is accused of two counts of attempted first-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail, but his bond had not been set as of late Friday afternoon.
