Baton Rouge police arrested a 44-year-old Houston man Tuesday afternoon at a convenience store on Highland Road who was wanted by Texas authorities for felony sexual assault.

A special response team from the Baton Rouge Police Department apprehended Keicha Bonhomme at the AM Food Mart in the 2400 block of Highland Road around 2:45 p.m. after the Harris County Texas Sheriff’s Office, which had been hunting for Bonhomme, tipped off Baton Rouge Police, said Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, a Baton Rouge police spokesman.

Bonhomme, McKneely said, “has ties to Baton Rouge from what we can figure, but he’s not from here.”
