A man was shot and wounded Monday as he walked in the 4500 block of North Street, police said.
The victim, 35, told police he was walking along the street when a vehicle pulled up, a man got out and started shooting at him, striking him several times in the leg, said Cpl. Don A. Coppola Jr., a spokesman for the Baton Rouge police.
“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening,” Coppola said.
Detectives have not determined a motive and don’t have a suspect in the shooting, Coppola said.
