A 28-year-old Baton Rouge man was arrested Saturday after choking and cutting two women and a dog with a knife.

Baton Rouge police responded at about midnight Saturday to 3965 Sycamore St., where Roosevelt Bell had choked a woman and cut another woman’s cheek with a knife, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

The woman cut on the cheek had filed a protection order against Bell in 2014, which he was arrested for violating last month.

Bell also choked and cut a dog at the residence with the same knife he used to cut the woman, police said.

Bell was booked on counts of aggravated battery, violation of a protection order and cruelty to animals. He was previously arrested in 2011 for aggravated battery and in May for simple battery, theft and violation of a protection order, according to the affidavit.
