The final listening session in the Beyond Bricks EBR 13-stop tour of the parish has been pushed back 10 days and is now taking place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22 at the Pride-Chaneyville Branch Library in Pride.
The session was to take place at 6 p.m. Thursday at Northeast High School. The library is located at 13600 Pride-Port Hudson Road in Pride.
Beyond Bricks EBR is an attempt to develop a community agenda for Baton Rouge education drawn directly from what people say. The organizers are a mix of parent groups, school leaders and ministers.
The first listening session was held Jan. 28 at BREC’s Cadillac Street Park in the Glen Oaks area. Eleven more sessions have been held since then. Organizers plan to compile and analyze the public input and report back to the community in the near future.
