A former Arab League ambassador to the United States and United Nations will discuss Middle East politics, the consequences of the Arab Spring and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict during a public event at LSU on Thursday.

Clovis Maksoud, now a professor of international relations at American University, is slated to lead a similar talk at the University of New Orleans on Wednesday night.

Maksoud’s LSU speech “The Paradox of a Globalized and Fragmented World. Case Study: The Arab World” will be at 6 p.m. in Nicholson Hall, Room 130.

It’s being sponsored by the Bienville House Center for Peace and Justice and the LSU International Studies Program at LSU.
