Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is expected to announce Wednesday that he’s running for president, then he will jet off to early-voting states New Hampshire and Iowa for events.

On Thursday, Jindal will speak at the Politics & Eggs luncheon hosted by The New Hampshire Institute of Politics and The New England Council at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H.

The Newton (Iowa) Daily News reports Jindal will then be in Jasper County, Iowa on Friday.

Jindal’s presidential exploratory committee is slated to hold a reception, featuring LSU football coach Les Miles and Saints coach Sean Payton, and a fundraiser in Baton Rouge on Saturday.

Jindal has kept a tight travel schedule as he’s explored a run for president — particularly since the legislative session ended earlier this month. His formal announcement will take place in Kenner at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
