The National Right to Life convention in New Orleans this week will feature a Republican presidential candidate forum but Gov. Bobby Jindal is not among the participants.

Four presidential hopefuls are on the program for the 9-11:30 a.m. Friday event: Dr. Ben Carson of Maryland, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Pennsylvania U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida.

Jindal, who is spending Monday and Tuesday campaigning in New Hampshire, is on the convention schedule for a Thursday evening event, “The Festival of Life: A Taste of Louisiana.”

Jindal will be delivering the keynote address Thursday, campaign spokeswoman Shannon Dirmann said via email. “We are speaking Thursday and not Friday. Traveling Friday,” she wrote.

The National Right to Life’s 45th annual convention runs Thursday through Saturday at the Marriott New Orleans. The convention is being hosted by Louisiana Right to Life.
