Democrat John Bel Edwards and Republican David Vitter have lined up several campaign events this weekend.
Early voting starts Saturday for the Nov. 21 runoff.
Here’s where you can find the two gubernatorial candidates this weekend:
Vitter has planned rallies in Shreveport and Lafayette on Saturday.
His Shreveport event, slated for 11 a.m. at the Wyndham Garden, is expected to feature Congressman John Fleming, state Rep. Alan Seabaugh, state Rep. Mike Johnson, Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington, Crimefighters of Louisiana President Irv Magri and the Rev. C.L. Bryant.
In Lafayette, Vitter plans to rally supporters at Pamplona tapas bar downtown at 3 p.m. Featured guests at that event are expected to include Mayor Joey Durel, Sen. Elbert Guillory, Rep. Nancy Landry, Rep. Blake Miguez, Rep. Bob Hensgens, Rep. Elect Phillip Devillier, Councilman Don Bertrand, City Marshall Brian Pope, BESE Member Holly Boffy, Crimefighters of Louisiana President Irv Magri, and School Board Members Jeremy Hidalgo, Justin Centanni, and Erik Kenezek, per the campaign.
Edwards, meanwhile, will be making stops in Shreveport and New Orleans.
On Saturday, he’ll take part in an early vote rally at 9 a.m. at 601 Texas Street. Edwards and supporters will march to a nearby polling place immediately after the rally.
Edwards plans to hit up several New Orleans churches Sunday morning. At 7:15 a.m., he’s scheduled to attend First Emmanuel Baptist on Carondelet. At 8 a.m., he’ll head to Fifth African Baptist on Robertson. He’s scheduled to be at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church on St. Phillip at 9 a.m., New Home Ministries on Carondelet at 10 a.m. and New Zion Baptist on 3rd St. at 11 a.m.
