Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center announced Thursday it has begun offering free valet parking services to emergency room patients and visitors.
The idea is to get ER patients in for treatment faster.
“When a patient is distressed and focused on seeking medical care, the last thing they should worry about is finding a parking spot. We hope this takes some stress out of the process and gives our patients quicker access to emergency care,” said Dean Williams, vice president of operations at the Lake.
Valet parking services will be available from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday, with two attendants available at peak times, according to a news release.
In the hours when valet service is not offered, patients should park their car in the ER parking lot at Entrance 1. If a patient needs to retrieve their car from valet when the service is not available, a member of the security team will assist them in getting their vehicle quickly, the release said.
Our Lady of the Lake sees nearly 140,000 emergency room visits each year.
