Rep-elect Mia Love, the first black Republican woman elected to Congress told the television panel ABC’s “This Week” that House Majority Whip Steve Scalise should hold on to his leadership position despite the recent flap over Scalise’s attendance in a workshop organized by a group of alleged white supremacists in 2002.

Scalise then was serving in the Louisiana Legislature.

Love is one of 74 GOP new faces in the upcoming Congress scheduled to be sworn in On Tuesday.
