Oil executive, college student from Lafayette to rule as King and Queen at Washington D.C. Mardi Gras _lowres

Washington – A Lafayette oil-and-gas executive will rule as king of the 2015 Washington Mardi Gras this week with a college sophomore from Lafayette serving as his queen, event organizers have announced.

The chairman of the 2015 ball, Republican U.S. Rep. Charles Boustany, of Lafayette, chose the king and queen. Boustany is the dean of the Louisiana U.S. House delegation, first elected in 2004.
