Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and First Lady Supriya Jindal have collected nearly 300 pounds of food for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bankthis holiday season.
The Jindals typically ask guests to the Governor’s Mansion to bring non-perishable items to donate at Christmas-time.
“Our food banks generously serve our communities in many different ways not only during a response to natural disaster, like hurricanes, but also year round,” Supriya Jindal said in a statement. “Bobby and I continue to encourage anyone who can to donate time, funding or non-perishable goods to our food banks during this holiday season.”
