Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has launched a blistering attack this week on Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump. He called him “a narcissist and an egomaniac” during a speech to the National Press Club. His official Twitter feed has been steadily mocking Trump.

Trump now responded, dismissing Jindal’s blitz against him without responding to the underdog’s very direct jabs.

“He did not make the debate stage and therefor i have never met him. I only respond to people that register more than 1 percent in the polls. I never thought he had a chance and I’ve been proven right,” Trump said in a statement that his spokesman sent to several reporters.

Jindal’s campaign advisers had promised that his attack on Trump would be different from other Republican candidates who have sought to dismiss Trump’s candidacy and leader status in the crowded race.
