Steve Scalise may be slow getting around the U.S. Capitol for a while, but he'll certainly be doing it in style.

The scooter that Scalise (R-Jefferson) will be using as he returns to work in Washington D.C. is decked out in Louisiana style. Images of the House Majority Whip's scooter show it featuring a black, purple and gold color palette.

It's adorned with a purple basket on the front that reads "Tigers" and features the eye logo beneath it. The scooter's seat also has a Tigers themed fleur-de-lis with LSU above it.

On the back of the scooter, also featuring multiple LSU logos, a faux Louisiana license plate reads "MAJ WHIP." And it all starts with a Raising Cane's keychain.

Scalise returned the U.S. Capitol and addressed Congress on Thursday for the first time since he was shot at a baseball field in Alexandria, Virginia in June. He entered the chambers to uproarious applause and spoke for several minutes about how good it was to return after multiple surgeries and months of recovery.

"People all around the world who believe in freedom are counting on us as well and we will deliver for them. That’s why I’m so honored to be back in the House serving with you,” Scalise said during his speech.
