North Carolina-based Public Policy Polling released the results from its latest survey of the Republican presidential field on Tuesday. Noticeably absent from the poll: Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
The poll, which found Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in the early lead, instead focused on candidates like former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas, Marco Rubio of Florida and Rand Paul of Kentucky. Dr. Ben Carson, a prominent Republican speaker who recently appeared in Baton Rouge, also was featured and scored high marks against the more experienced potential 2016 crowd.
