The state Republican Party has actived a Voter Integrity Program in advance of the Dec. 6 U.S. Senate runoff election, officials announced Monday.

Former U.S. Rep. Jeff Landry of New Iberia will chair the effort aimed at preventing voter fraud as Republican U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy tries to oust veteran Democratic U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu.
