Republican U.S. Sen. David Vitter went to Chalmette Movies on Monday to watch The Interview, the R-rated Seth Rogan/James Franco comedy that almost didn’t get a theater run out of fear of North Korean retaliation.

Gambit (bestofneworleans.com) reports Vitter and his wife, Wendy, were among about 35 people at the 2 p.m. showing of the film, which has gotten mixed-to-negative reviews but has drawn crowds of patriotic — or just curious — viewers.
