Possible plans to widen Interstate 10 between the Mississippi River bridge and the I-10/12 split will be the subject of three more public hearings this month.

The same issue was the subject of a series of public hearings last fall.

DOTD is doing a feasibility study of adding a new lane in each direction on the heavily congested corridor.

How to finance any such widening is one of the issues.

The gatherings are to solicit public input.

They are scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 22 at McKinley Middle Magnet School; 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 23 at Addis Community Center; and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at Baton Rouge Marriott.
