The plan for members of Congress to honor U.S. Majority Whip Steve Scalise with coordinated LSU t-shirts during a charity baseball game Thursday night has faced a hang up because of a private company's shipping error.

But LSU will still be represented on the field thanks to baseball caps that the university sent shortly after Scalise was critically injured in a shooting on Wednesday.

According to U.S. Rep. Roger Marshall's press secretary Eric Pahls, sports apparel company Fanatics erred in shipping the t-shirt order in time to arrive ahead of the game.

LSU, meanwhile, sent about 70 caps and 24 t-shirts to D.C., which arrived on Thursday morning. An LSU spokesman said the shirts were to supplement those the organizers had already ordered for the teams to wear.
