Early voting for the Nov. 18 election starts Friday  and ends Nov. 11. Voters may cast ballots from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except Sunday, Nov. 5, and the Veterans Day holiday on Nov. 10). To change the process to appeal decisions of the personnel review board so that after any hearing, the review board shall submit their advisory recommendations to the parish president. The decisions made by the president shall be final unless overruled by a two-thirds majority vote of the Parish Council members present at the vote of the employee's appeal.

To levy in perpetuity a 2 percent hotel tax within East Baton Rouge Parish — but excluding the municipalities of Baker, Central and Zachary and the area within the  Baton Rouge North Economic Development District —  that is expected to generate $3,320,488 for the first year, of which 50 percent would go to the Raising Cane's River Center and 50 percent to Visit Baton Rouge.

To levy a 20-year, 10-mill property tax expected to generate $5,646,350 a year in additional funds for teacher and support employees' salaries and benefits.

PROPOSITION 2

To levy a 20-year, 4-mill property tax expected to generate $2,258,540 a year in additional support for school facility maintenance.

PROPOSITION 3

To levy a 20-year, 6-mill property tax expected to generate $3,387,810 a year in additional support for building new classrooms or remodeling existing ones and related facilities in order to reduce the number of modular buildings.

Hammond hotel tax

To authorize the Hammond Area Economic and Industrial Development District to levy a 2 percent hotel room tax in perpetuity that is expected to generate $347,990 in the first year for economic and industrial development.
