A fourth candidate jumped into the race for the vacant Louisiana House District 66 seat during Thursday candidate sign-up.

Former Metro Councilman Darrell Ourso joined Metro Councilman Buddy Amoroso, lawyer and financial consultant Richard “Rick” Bond and lawyer and public policy consultant Susan Nelson.

Amoroso, Bond and Ourso are Republicans. Nelson is no party.

House District 66 became open with the resignation of state Rep. Hunter Greene, R-Baton Rouge, who won election to a family court judgeship.

Candidate sign-up continues through Friday.

The District 66 election is one of four House vacancies for which elections will be held Feb. 21. Runoffs, if necessary, will be March 28.
