Funeral services for recently deceased State. Rep. Ronnie Edwards are scheduled for March 4 in Baton Rouge.

“On Wednesday, February 24th, we lost an amazing woman of faith and service to our community, State Representative Ronnie Edwards. Her loving family invites the community to honor her journey and join in a celebration of her life,” said a recent press release.

The viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Living Faith Christian Center, at 6180 Winbourne Avenue. Services will immediate follow at 10 a.m.

The burial will be at Heavenly Gates Mausoleum, at 10633 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, with a reception to follow at The Charles R. Kelly Community Center, at 3535 Riley Street.

Edwards died last week after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She served on the Baton Rouge Metro Council for six years, before winning her legislative seat in November.
