Louisiana state Rep. Stuart Bishop, R-Lafayette, took the House floor on Wednesday morning to address a reported fist fight he had with Sen. Norby Chabert, R-Houma, at a Baton Rouge bar on Tuesday night.
"The integrity of this body is one thing I cherish and hold dear," he said. "If I embarrassed any of you I truly apologize."

Lawmakers are working toward an early end to the regular session as soon as Friday so that the Legislature can enter its sixth special session since January 2016.
