A bill that would name the Interstate 10 Twin Span Bridge after the late WWL broadcaster Frank Davis won final legislative approval Wednesday.
The proposal, Senate Bill 413, passed the state House 90-0 without debate.
Under the legislation, the bridge would be called the “Naturally N’Awlins” Memorial Bridge.
Davis, a New Orleans native who died in December, was known for his “Naturally N’Awlins” feature reports on WWL-TV.
“Frank Davis was an iconic broadcaster with WWL,” said state Rep. Kevin Pearson, R-Slidell and House sponsor of the bill. “Well known. Fisherman. Cook. Everything.”
