Stormy weather spawned at least two possible tornadoes in the Baton Rouge area Saturday and knocked out power for thousands of residents, although damage appeared to be mostly minor and power was soon restored for most.

In New Orleans, rain condensed into the short time period caused a lot of street flooding throughout the area. At the height of the storm, the Streetwise app run by the city showed up to a dozen areas experiencing street flooding and a half-dozen traffic incidents.

The weather this week is expected to be sunny and seasonable.
