A flash flood warning has been issued for Livingston, St. Helena and Tangipahoa parishes until 12:15 p.m. The flash flood warning for East Baton Rouge has been extended until 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service said.

Also, a flash flood watch is in effect for all of southeast Louisiana, including the New Orleans area, until 6 p.m.

South Louisiana is in for a rainy couple of days heading into a rainy weekend, with a marginal chance of severe thunderstorms Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

A 20 percent chance of rain Wednesday increases to 90 percent Thursday with showers and thunderstorms predicted, some possibly severe. Stormy weather continues into the night.
