The National Weather Service is advising that "another round of severe thunderstorms producing strong winds, hail, isolated tornadoes, and heavy rainfall could impact the (New Orleans-Baton Rouge) area late (Monday) evening and overnight."
The NWS lists its confidence in that forecast as "moderate."

Besides the severe weather threat, 1-2 inches of rain with locally higher totals of 3 inches are possible.
The weather should begin to improve Tuesday afternoon, the NWS said, as drier air moves in from the west.
A violent storm that rolled through parts of south Louisiana on Monday morning brought an inch and a half of rain, gusts up to 60 mph and left down trees, flooded roads and power outages in its wake.
