Why so much press on the New England Patriots when there is a civil war in Syria and different areas in Africa, while poverty and homelessness has ramped up in America, and little children are dying from starvation and different diseases such as malaria?

How can we stand by arguing about some deflated footballs when there is so much suffering and injustice in the world that we can attempt to fix?

I am a big New Orleans Saints fan, and I believe sports is a great thing that brings people together in many ways. I thought it was a very magical thing when we won the Super Bowl in 2010. The New England Patriots have nothing to do with our city. Whether the NFL punishes the Patriots, there will human suffering. It doesn’t take a break for football, and neither should we.
