I have been watching and reading about our state budget and how the broke we are. Gov. John Bel Edwards has increased taxes and is talking about doing this again.

Before increasing any more taxes, Edwards and both state houses should take a look at several things.

Let’s get to work on cleaning up the wasteful spending of engineering studies that go nowhere. The government should take a look at the state welfare, food stamps and other freebies, and get the people off these programs taking a free ride. The last thing is to look at the government jobs. Also, it is necessary to have as many state automobiles that I see on the road and many different places on weekends?
