The Medicare Choices Organization has an advertisement on TV asking seniors on the Medicare Advantage program to call Sen. Mary Landrieu to prevent the proposed cuts to the Medicare Advantage program. Calling Sen. Landrieu’s office is not the solution. She is the problem.

Before the cuts were voted on, I emailed her office several times, expressing my concerns about the effect cuts would have on seniors and the experiences I encountered when I was eligible for Medicare. All doctors I contacted told me they were not accepting new Medicare patients. Finally, I was lucky enough to get on a Medicare Advantage program. Sen. Landrieu knew about the problem cuts would cause seniors, but she voted for the cuts.

Instead of calling Sen. Landrieu, these seniors should spend their time calling and voting for someone who cares about their interests.
