In response to Melissa Flournoy’s letter criticizing U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy’s leadership on health care: Shame on you, Melissa Flournoy. Bill Cassidy has a lifetime of service to the poor and underprivileged. Louisianians from all socioeconomic backgrounds have benefited from Cassidy walking the walk. His Christian heart and hands have blessed and healed countless patients and strangers.  Cassidy has spent most of his adult life caring for uninsured and underinsured patients in Louisiana precisely because he is “kind, compassionate, and committed to health care and the community.” I can promise you that the years, the patients, the families and the medical victories are not forgotten. Bright minds were excluded from the process of creating Obamacare; many of those, like our senior senator, are hard at work trying to fix those problems. Please Melissa, hold your always-liberal tongue — and pen — while something constructive is happening in Washington.
