As I was perusing the comic pages, mostly designed for children, right under the “Family Circus” cartoon is “Pearls Before Swine.” It seems to be aptly named, as that is exactly what I found there! Most people I talked to about this, equate the words “screw you” as a vulgar term. Why use this unnecessary phrase for young people to read in comics? I have previously been proud of The Advocate for their stand, but now am beginning to wonder. Why wasn’t that part edited out?
