Why doesn’t LSU demand that the city give the university $500,000 for each home game?

If our civic leaders (and the Baton Rouge Area Convention and Visitors Bureau) can give this amount to the Bayou Country Superfest (in the name of tourism creation), a football game should qualify and creates much more revenue for the city/parish. With 6-7 home games that would generate $3 million to $4 million!

Additionally, why doesn’t the Baton Rouge Area Convention and Visitors Bureau protest the LSU game being played in Dallas. Since they are quick to point out the benefits of major events in Baton Rouge, why don’t they object to moving an event out of Baton Rouge.
