Regarding the recent Uptown New Orleans restaurant armed robberies, my opinion is that all of these crimes dilute down to one common problem: guns. Although there are many immense disputes on this subject, I believe that there should be some limits to who can get their hands on a gun. Some of these requirements should consist of background checks, bans on automatic assault weapons, waiting periods and bans on selling guns at gun shows. Unfortunately, many have the strong argument that restricting the buying and owning of guns would violate our Second Amendment, but frankly, without some form of gun control, there will be ongoing events like these locally and nationally. We need to set limits on guns, or else there will be no end to simple deaths and robberies.
