Advocate staff photo by HILARY SCHEINUK -- LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva speaks during a press conference, Wednesday, October 7, 2015, called to discuss the logistical side of LSU hosting South Carolina after following devastating flooding in the state.

I find SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey's attitude toward LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva disheartening. Has he forgotten or just disregarded the historic flood Louisiana and its people have just suffered?

After he made every possible offer he could make to Florida, Alleva did what was best for our college, our team, our fans and our economy. That's the bottom line.

Maybe the SEC should be looking for a more sensitive leader who can recognize what a tragic, historic, multibillion dollar weather event can cause an economy.

Thank you, Joe. We appreciate you.
