We use guns to protect our banks and courthouses. We use guns to protect entertainers and elected officials. Isn’t it about time we use guns to protect our most precious asset, our children? "Gun-free" zones are a magnet for terrorists. Ninety-eight percent of all mass killings occur in "gun-free" zones. One security guard in a school isn’t enough. He’ll be the first one the terrorist shoots.

Concealed-carry permit holders have passed FBI and state police background checks before being given 80 percent of the gun training a police officer receives.

The best way to discourage school shootings is to allow the principal to appoint one or more members of the faculty or administration who hold concealed-carry permits to carry on campus. That would have saved 17 lives at the school in Parkland, Florida.
