I have to express my annoyance at your choice of political cartoons about the Occupy Wall Street movement.

They tend almost exclusively toward portraying the protesters as unscrubbed, wild-eyed, uninformed hippie-granola types with no rationale for their actions. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The core activists represent a wide range of political ideas from socialist to libertarian, but hold to the common theme that our financial system has been badly regulated and operated, and has been a big part of our economic problems.

In Manhattan and other cities across the country, the Occupy movement continues to gather support from working people, unions, veterans, all manner of professionals and retirees. Whether one agrees with all their agenda or not, they deserve more respect for standing up for what they believe.

A little more perspective in your choice of political cartoons, please.
