In your Sunday edition, you had a large headline that said a total smoking ban would catch Louisiana with most of the nation, yet your map shows 18 states with total bans.

Since when is 18 out of 50 “most”? As a retired math teacher, I see a need more for mathematics instruction.

Has anyone who supports this measure actually read the Surgeon General’s original report on smoking? Pipe smokers actually lived longer than nonsmokers.

What exactly would I be “protected” from by a total ban? Living longer?
