As an American citizen, I believe the office of the president of the United States of America should be respected, along with the office of the presidency, especially among those of us who consider ourselves patriots.

Name calling, such as cabal, chameleon, lofty ruler, exalted personages, (and the list goes on and on) are disrespectful and tasteless.

President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have endured some of the most blatant hatred since they entered the White House.

Despite the continued attacks directed toward them, they continue to conduct themselves with dignity and Christian love.

In spite of the fact that there are those who dislike the president and the first family, that strong dislike should not be translated into hatred, and it does not give people the right to demonize them by making false emotional statements against them.

It is my strong belief that we are venturing into turbulent waters if we, as Americans, seek to destroy what our founding fathers established over 200 years ago.

Finally, let us remember that, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delights in His way. Though he may fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” (Psalms: 37:23, 24)
